EVENT

Male 2-person team
Female 2-person team
Co-ed 2 person team

COMPETITION FORMAT:

Just as triathlon is built on the sport of marathon, adventure races utilize the multi-sport format of triathlon. Except in adventure racing, it’s done as a team out in the woods and on the trails, with only a map and compass to guide you. Teams of two can expect to mountain bike on some fantastic single track trails, canoe, run and trek, all using a map and compass! All team members will start the race together and finish the race together, and there may be some fun mystery events along the way. All participants must be 18 and over.

THE COURSE:

The course for the race will remain a secret until racer check-in; when all teams will receive their maps and detailed race information. Teams will be finding checkpoints in one of the most beautiful State Parks in Kansas, which offers some of the best single track trails in the state! The expected winning time will be around 2 hours, and all teams will have up to 5 hours to complete the course. Teams should come prepared to complete the following disciplines:
  • Paddling: 2-3 miles
  • Mountain Biking: 10-15 miles
  • Trail Running and Trekking: 4-6 miles

Please click here for complete race rules and gear list. If you have questions regarding the race, please contact the Commissioner.
