FPV (First Person View) Drone Racing is a new sport that is gaining wild popularity throughout the world.  Basically, your drone, a.k.a. multirotor, the size of a dinner plate, has a small camera mounted on the front which sends a video feed to a pair of “VR” style goggles.  Through these video goggles you can see only what the camera sees, essentially putting you and your senses INSIDE the cockpit of the quadcopter, which can travel at speeds upwards of 90 mph.  It truly gives you a “bird’s eye view” flying through the park, to the point that if you dive towards the earth, it tickles your tummy as if you’re on a rollercoaster; hence, the name of my business “aDRONEaline” - a play on the word “adrenaline” because when you’re finished flying, a good shot of adrenaline has your hands shaking a bit. You feel like you’re flying in one of those Red Bull sprint planes but with zero risk of dying in a fiery crash!

Drone Racing is also an awesome spectator sport, in that we rent FPV goggles to spectators, so the spectators can view the race from the cockpit’s perspective too.  So, let’s say you’re watching my drone’s channel and I happen to crash, you simply hit “channel up” on your goggles and it switches to the next available pilot’s camera, so you can switch pilots, in real time during the races. It’s truly exhilarating to fly AND spectate!

July 14th & 15th the races will be held at the Sunflower Soccer Association fields on Hwy75.  This is an AWESOME looking LED LighTrax NIGHT race that resembles nothing like you’ve ever seen. The LED track will be setup and lit starting Monday, July 10th and will be lit up and available for pilots to practice all week long leading up to the event on Friday & Saturday. Also, all week long Adronealine Racing will have booths set up for people to learn to fly a drone while wearing FPV goggles, drive RC trucks, buy drone stuff and eat some tasty local food. Only 72 pilots will compete, so register early! 36 pilots on Friday and 36 pilots on Saturday. The top 3 lap leaders from Friday and the top 3 lap leaders from Saturday will have a race-off for 1st thru 6th places.
