CYCLING ONLY FEE AND ONLINE REGISTRATION:  Online registration opens May 1st. If you plan to paticipate in only Cycling the entry fee is $30 per person. Includes both 5k and 10k.  Online registration is strongly encouraged.

MULTIPLE SPORT FEES & ONLINE REGISTRATION:  Online registration opens May 1st. If you plan to participate in multiple sports each participant will pay a one time registration fee of $25, plus a Cyclling Sport Fee of $15 per person.  Includes both 5k and 10k.

  • Out and back course starting at E. Main St & New Century Pkwy and racing north to turn around just south of 151st St.   Click here for the Strava link to 10K course.  The 5k course is the same with an earlier turn around to equal 5k.
  • Events include 5k Time Trial and 10k Time Trial.
  • All cyclists must provide their own bicycles and helmets.
  • Kansas Senior Games will not be hosting a 20K Road Race. The 20K and 40K Road Race events are considered to be a "limited" events by the National Senior Games Association. Therefore, you may qualify for the National Senior Games by submitting verification of having completed two cycling road races of the event length or better between January 1 and December 31, 2022. Cyclists who complete two 40K or longer events may qualify for both events. Please see pages 8-9 of the National Senior Games Association Rule Book regarding "limited" events.
  • Starting times for the time trials will be at equal intervals of one minute. No allowances will be made for mechanical or other mishaps.
  • Starting order for time trials is by random selection.
  • If a rider appears later than the appointed starting time, the start will be allowed only to the extent that, in the judgment of the officials, it does not interfere with other riders starting on schedule. If it does interfere, the rider may be further delayed. In the case of a late start, the appointed time shall be used in computing the results.
  • The start sheet with the starting order will be available for riders' perusal at least 30 minutes prior to event start.
  • All cycling events will be conducted in accordance with the USA Cycling rules, except as modified herein. Please visit for complete rules.
  • Helmets are mandatory and must conform to USA Cycling regulations.
  • Multi-gear (free wheel) bikes with front and rear brakes are required. Fixed gear bicycles are not permitted. Recumbent Bikes are allowed in separate category.  All bicycles must be certified by race officials prior to the competition.
  • There may be no protective shield, faring or other device on any part of the bicycle (including but not limited to, the frame, wheels, handlebars, chain-wheel or accessories) which has the effect of reducing air resistance, except those allowed by the USAC.
  • Handlebars used for steering with ends, features, or attachments that extend forward or upward or that provide support for other than the riders hands (including aerobars) are permitted in time trial events.
  • If in doubt about your qualification, check for an official ruling with the Sport Commissioner before your appointed starting time. Once the clock begins, your time is running and will not be adjusted.
  • In the time trials, the rider shall be held by an official at the start, but shall be neither restrained nor pushed.
  • Riders must stay to the right except when overtaking another rider. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.
  • In time trials, no rider shall take pace behind another rider closer than 25 meters (80 feet) ahead, or two meters (7 feet) to the side. A rider who is observed taking pace shall receive a time penalty.
  • No restarts are permitted.
