Shooting Trap and Skeet

DATE: Saturday, July 9, 2022
SITE: Capital City Gun Club: I-70 & West Union Rd. Go North 1/2 mile to NW 4th St., east 1/2 mile to the range gate on the north side of the road. Click here for directions.
TIME: 8:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
FEE: $25 for one event or $45 for two events
REGISTRATION: Registration will open March 1st. Online registration only.
DEADLINE: Friday, July 1st at 6pm. The deadline will not be extended. See below for late entries.
EVENT DAY ENTRIES: Day of entries will be accepted with a $5 late fee per event.
T-SHIRTS: Commemorative t-shirts will be distributed to participants who register prior to the posted deadline.

MALE DIVISIONS: 14 & under, 15-18, 19-65, 66-75, 76+
FEMALE DIVISIONS: 14 & under, 15-18, 19-65, 66-75, 76+
COMPETITION FORMAT:

Age determination date is July 9.
- Registered Definition: Participants that are members of national shooting sports organizations (Amateur Trapshooting Association or the National Skeet Shooting Association) and participate in their respective sanctioned shooting events.

Non-Registered Definition: Participants that do not participate in nationally sanctioned shooting events as referenced in the Registered category (i.e., this category is for recreational shooters).

All events are 12 gauge; any other gauge will be classified as 12 gauge.

Trap will shoot 50 targets at 16 yards (2 rounds of trap). Skeet will shoot 50 targets (2 rounds of skeet).

Check in at competition site. Participants must be on the field by 2:30 p.m. to participate.

Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals will be awarded in each age group for non-registered and registered.
- Awards ceremony will be held at the club at 3:00 p.m. or when shooting is complete, whichever is first.
- Lunch will be available courtesy of Lyon County 4-H Shooting Sports as a fundraiser for their efforts.
