$250 per team. Payment must be made in full at time of registration.
 
By registering for this event all participants agree to the Sunflower State Games NO refund policy. 
REGISTRATION:
Click the "Register Now" link above for online registration. Online registration only. Registrations may only be submitted by the Coach or Team Manager. Payment must be made in full via credit card at time of registration. Phone-in or walk-in registrations will not be accepted. NO EXCEPTIONS!

TEAM ROSTERS & WAIVER FORMS:

Please read this section carefully regarding our policy and procedure for completing your team rosters and waivers online using the Team Portal. Team rosters may only be submitted online via the Team Portal as paper forms no longer exist. After your registration has been processed, you will be directed to your Team Portal. There you will use the Team Portal to invite participants to join your roster. ALL PARTICIPANTS ON YOUR TEAM MUST JOIN YOUR ROSTER USING THE TEAM PORTAL - NO EXCEPTIONS. Team rosters MUST be completed online using the Team Portal by 6pm on the Friday evening prior to your competition. Rosters will be frozen at this time. Failure to meet the team roster deadline will result in your team being pulled from the competition with no refund. All participants who have joined their team using the Team Portal by June 30th will receive a commemorative t-shirt. Any participant joining their team roster after June 30th will NOT receive the commemorative t-shirt. By registering for this event, all teams agree to follow the Roster & Waiver submission policies and procedures. Roster limit of 14 for Men's, Women's, and Coed. Roster limit of 18 for Seniors. Minimum of 10. Strictly enforced.

COMPETITION FORMAT FOR USSSA SANCTIONED DIVISIONS:

  • USSSA rules will be used for Men's Open, Women's Open, and Co-Ed Open. These are USSSA Sanctioned events. All teams must be sanctioned through USSSA to compete in the Men's Open, Women's Open, and Co-Ed Open divisions. Click here for USSSA sanctioning information.
  • Men's Open: Upper will be C and up, USSSA Rules, 4 homeruns and then outs with a DHH.  Lower will be E & D, USSSA Rules, 3 homeruns and then outs with a DHH.  Lower ranked teams may play up, but upper ranked teams may not play down.
  • Women's Open: Upper will be D and Up, USSSA Rules, Unlimited HR.  Lower will be E, USSSA Rules, 3 homeruns and then outs with a DHH.
  • Co-Ed Open: Upper will C and up, USSSA Rules, 4 homeruns and then outs for men, women homeruns do not count towards total.  Lower will be D & E, USSSA Rules, 3 homeruns and then outs for men, women homeruns do not count towards total.
  • The 1/2 point rule will be in effect for all games.  Visiting team will start with 1/2 a point to start the game.
  • Please direct all questions regarding rules and tournament format to the sport commissioner.
  • Tournament format will be bracket play only. Each team is guaranteed a minimum of three games.
  • In case of weather delays, the Sport Commissioner reserves the right to alter tournament format and schedule.
  • Each team will be required to provide lineup cards, and balls for play.  Please have more than one ball on hand for play if a ball gets hit over the fence (fair or foul) or is not allowed for play.  Coed must provide the same, but also have one legal ball for men and one legal ball for women.
  • Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals awarded to the top three teams in each age division, trophy awarded to the first place team in each division.

COMPETITION FORMAT FOR REC DIVISIONS:

These teams are composed of average players who can hit, run, and throw with some proficiency, appreciate competition, play hard but play for fun and enjoyment.  These are teams that overall don't have players who are over the fence home run hitters. These teams are comprised of players who are here to enjoy the game.  *PLEASE NOTE* if you are a USSSA Class "D" or higher player, at any one time, you will not be allowed to play Rec division.  We fully encourage you to take the step up and play in Men's Open. For the recreational divisions, rosters must be approved by sport commissioner. Men's and Co-ed Rec - 2 HR limit for men, all additional over the fence HR will be an out.  Women's HR do not count towards total. Please direct all questions regarding rules and tournament format to the sport commissioner. Tournament format will be bracket play only.  Each team is guaranteed a minimum of three games. The Sunflower State Games will follow the majority of the Shawnee County Parks & Recreation 50+ & 60+ League Rules. However, many of the rules have been modified for tournament play. The following rules are final and are not up for debate. PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT OUR OFFICE OR THE SPORT COMMISSIONER IN AN ATTEMPT TO HAVE THESE RULES CHANGED. Tournament format will be determined by the number of registrations.  Each team is guaranteed a minimum of three games.
